Podium

From November 2019 to November 2020 , I was a part of the product design team at Podium in Lehi, Utah. My experience working at a larger tech company as a part of a design team definitely differed from the experience I gained at Ragnar but that allowed me to add on new experience that was very much needed. I was able to see how many different teams all working on pieces of a platform come together to create one great product. While at Podium I was able to contribute to various pieces of the reporting and messaging parts of the platform. Here are some examples with brief descriptions of the work I did during my year there.

I designed the flow of having a template bot take over the conversation with a customer. The user could select from their pre-made templates and select one that they attached a bot component to and this is just showing the loading of it.

Another piece of the chat platform that i designed was multi select to then make an action on what you have selected. Once the user clicks on the conversation (shown with the check mark next to it on the left) they can then see the conversation preview in the window on the right. As they select more it creates a pile with the available actions underneath.

One of the bigger designs I helped with at Podium was redesigning the Leaderboard. The main impact was that we made it so the user could customize what they see on their board with a variety of column options. Other notable additions was a clearer display of the users ranking as well as search capabilities and business locations leaderboard in the same board.

I helped to optimize the reporting platform with how we displayed a variety of graphs and cards.

I updated how we display and choose country codes for contacts mostly for the benefit of our international users in Australia.
